The RWG today published a summary of the provisions of the Luxembourg Protocol. Initially published only in English, it is intended that it will be prepared in due course in various languages.
Dr Konrad Schott, partner of the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, in Frankfurt, Germany, has been elected as Vice Chairman of the RWG. Konrad has been a key member of the RWG for some time and specialises in rail transactions in Germany. He will be part of the RWG delegation to the Preparatory Commission meeting taking place next month in Bern
UNIDROIT has now published the official version of the Luxembourg Rail Protocol. After the Diplomatic Conference in Luxembourg last February, the secretariats of the two sponsoring organisations, UNIDROIT and OTIF had three months to review the text and translations, but the definitive version has now been released in English.
The first meeting of the preparatory commission reviewing the implementation of the Protocol will take place in July
