Welcome to the new RWG website. This is designed for companies and their advisers working in the rail industry, to keep you up date with developments on the proposed Rail Protocol to the 2001 Cape Town Convention. News and other documents will be posted regularly. There is also a password protected section for the members of the RWG so that we can upload draft working papers and information for the group.
The RWG Chairman addressed the International Transport Finance Conference at the University of Mannheim in South Western Germany today on “The Rail Protocol in the run-up to the Diplomatic Conference”. The Conference was opened by University Rector Professor Dr. Hans-Wolfang Arndt, and hosted by Professor Dr. Karsten Ott. Other speakers included: Dr Gerfried Mutz, Deputy General Director of OTIF; Dr Inke Wolff from the Federal Ministry of Justice in Berlin; and RWG member Dr Konrad Schott of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
