RWG supports the Transport Infrastructure East Africa conference
The conference took place between 21st and 24th January 2013 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. RWG chair Howard Rosen moderated the conference on the 22nd and 23rd January. Speakers included the Hon Stephen Chemoiko Chebrot, Minister of State for Transport, Ministry of Work and Transport, Uganda, Omar A. Chambo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Tanzania. Mr Kipallo Aman Kisamfu, Managing Director, Tanzania Railways Corporation and Mr Damas Ndumbaro, Deputy Managing Director of TAZARA in Tanzania. From further afield both Craig Cerff, Sales & Marketing Director, PERI South Africa and Tobias Heimanner, Commercial Officer from Rift Valley Railways in Kenya gave informative presentations as did Mohamed Babikir, Manager, Signaling and Telecommunications, Sudan Railways and Arvind Khare, Chief Executive Officer, CCFB, Mozambique.
