Mexican law firm joins the RWG

17th February 2011

Mexican law firm joins the RWG. The Santa Fé-based firm of Abogados Sierra y Vazquez has joined the RWG. The firm has had a deep involvement in the implementation in Mexico of the Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment and the Protocol to the Convention on Matters Specific to Aircraft Equipment ever since it became effective in November of 2007. As part of the legal advisory panel of the Aviation Working Group they participated actively in drafting the proposed new declarations that Mexico is expected to eventually adopt to replace the current system which is felt to be insufficient to realise the full benefits of the Convention. The firm’s expertise will be invaluable in promoting the proper adoption of the Luxembourg Rail Protocol by Mexico.
