International law firm Bird & Bird LLP has joined the RWG

Bird & Bird is a truly international firm with more than 1000 lawyers and legal practitioners in 25 offices in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The firm is recognised for combining leading expertise across a full range of legal services, including advice on finance, commercial, corporate, EU and competition, intellectual property, dispute resolution, employment and real estate matters with a focus on technology and tangible assets industries as well as regulated markets.

Bird & Bird’s involvement in the RWG will be spearheaded by Prof. Dr. Benjamin von Bodungen, who has been a member of the RWG’s Management Committee since 2011 and recently joined the firm’s Frankfurt office as of counsel, thus strengthening its expertise in Cape Town Convention, other financing and transportation matters. In Germany, Bird & Bird has more than 200 lawyers in total who operate out of the offices in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich. Bird & Bird has traditionally been very active in the rolling stock sector and the firm’s lawyers regularly advise municipalities, manufacturers, lessors, investors and banks on a wide range of rolling stock transactions involving finance, commercial, public procurement and corporate matters.
