UN approves modifications to Model Rules on marking

At its meeting on 14th November, the UN Economic Commission for Europe Working Party on Rail Transport approved the proposed changes to the Model Rules on Permanent Marking of Railway Rolling Stock to create a longer transition period for the and marking process in relation to used equipment. The consolidated set of Rules still needs to be published by the UN and they come into effect on publication. The report of the meeting, showing the changes (item 5) may be found here.
